About Us

My wife and myself are the 4th generation to ranch in the state of Oregon we are located in Vale. We have been raising Maine-anjou cattle since 1995. Through my wifes research we discovered the Maine cattle. We introduced our first Maine sire, whom we called Dozer (PP Bar D-8). We purchased him from Pat Patterson of Fort Collins Colorado. Upon seeing our first calf crop we purchased additional bred heifers from Pat. We also purchased bred Angus females From Von Ferells Wheatland Wyoming. These cattle became the foundation from which we built our present herd on. We have continued to enhance our genetics with high quality registered Maine and Angus females focusing on marbling, fat and birth weight. We have been purchasing females from throughout the west finding the best of the best. Our goal is to develop highly functional cattle that work in all environments be it the pasture or show ring. Our calves aren't crept fed. Our operation believes a great female is born to stand alone.
The genetics used in our operation include:
Maine-anjou: DJ Stormin Norm, Executive,Bullseye,Pistol Pete and many more.
Angus: BT Lucy Boy 106L, Anchor,Cornhusker,Traveler, White Oak Precise 6002,Bando 5175,Basin Rainmaker 9781 and many more.

Our bulls are rancher raised they winter easy and go to work in the spring. We have bulls running on ranches in the dry desert pastures to irrigated pastures and excel in both environments. Our bulls are spring born.

We have moderate framed easy keeping females. We raise our heifers to breed and function.

Our operation is family run with the 5th generation our son Christopher and his wife Kabrina. Christopher is pursuing his ag degree as well as helping out here. He's in charge of AI'ing and helps with herd health. Our daughter Tory between nursing school and 2 jobs helps out when she can.

We are very proud of the operation God has helped us build. With Gods grace it will continue. Thank you for intersest in our cattle.
